Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant

Role Overview

We are offering a full-time opportunity for an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Newbridge House, a female acute inpatient mental health ward. The role involves supporting qualified Occupational Therapists, Nursing Staff, and the Ward Manager by facilitating group and individual therapy sessions tailored to service users' needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver and assist in planning therapeutic group activities and one-to-one sessions under professional supervision.
• Support patients' health, well-being, and functional abilities by engaging them in meaningful activities as part of their multidisciplinary care plans.
• Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists, nursing teams, and ward management to implement care and treatment strategies.
• Use creativity and adaptability to design and promote activities that aid patient recovery and support timely discharge.
• Work collaboratively and flexibly alongside nursing and support staff to address the diverse needs of service users within the inpatient setting.
• Participate actively in care planning, assessments, and delivering therapeutic interventions aligned with the Occupational Therapy process.

Training and Development
