Job description
Job Overview
The selected candidate will work closely with the Engineer to perform airframe and engine maintenance on Air Arabia's fleet and third-party aircraft. This role supports inspections, repairs, defect corrections, and component swaps to ensure aircraft are maintained in optimal condition and ready for operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Engineer-in-Charge to review assigned task cards, understand work scope, priorities, documentation, and safety precautions before starting tasks.
- Prepare and execute scheduled maintenance using task cards, ensuring correct tools, parts, and ground support equipment are in place and used as per instructions.
- Conduct aircraft inspections and tests thoroughly to identify and document any defects or damages following approved procedures.
- Perform repairs, replace components, and run tests strictly according to approved data and guidance from the Engineer-in-Charge.
- Ensure proper retrieval and maintenance of tools and equipment from storage, returning them in good condition after use.
- Regularly update the Engineer-in-Charge on task progress and promptly report any aircraft condition issues or execution challenges.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout all maintenance tasks.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols to protect oneself and others during maintenance activities, including correct use of safety equipment and ground support devices.
- Consider human factors by following disruption procedures, and ensure adequate access and lighting during inspections and maintenance.
- Provide excellent internal customer service by supporting team members and personnel involved in scheduled checks.
- Represent Air Arabia professionally, showcasing technical expertise to colleagues and external partners.
- Exercise cost-consciousness by minimizing waste of materials and preventing avoidable damage and rework.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certification and experience as a Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
- Proficiency in English communication for technical discussions, both spoken and written.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Eligibility to obtain a UAE Driver’s License.
- Minimum two years’ maintenance experience on large commercial aircraft, ideally Airbus models.
- At least two years of experience working in a line maintenance environment.
- Strong foundational knowledge of airframe and engine maintenance principles and practices.
