Job description
Role Overview
IZI South Africa, a prominent provider of comprehensive cash management solutions, is seeking a dedicated ATM Custodian based in Cape Town. This role involves ensuring that Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) remain fully operational by managing cash custody, processing deposits, and handling computerized ATM reports while upholding rigorous safety and ethical standards.
Primary Duties
- Replenish ATM terminals with cash and necessary stationery supplies.
- Seal and balance cash stock routinely while maintaining precise reconciliations through system entries.
- Handle cash deposits by clearing and managing purge bins and securely processing slips.
- Ensure all cash under custody is protected against avoidable losses at all times.
- Monitor ATM equipment condition to detect and address faults early.
- Coordinate with the Control Centre to log and resolve technical issues expediently.
- Promptly report any service interruptions or operational changes affecting the ATMs.
- Comply strictly with company policies regarding firearm handling, maintenance, and safety training.
- Actively engage in workplace safety initiatives, forums, and incident reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matriculation certificate with Mathematics as a subject.
- Possession of PSIRA Grade C certification including a Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) qualification.
- Competence in handling firearms, specifically handguns for business use.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in ATM operation and maintenance.
- Certification from an accredited ATM Custodian training course.
- Computer literacy.
- Clear credit record and no criminal history.
- Not registered as a director of any company or business.
