Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Associate Video Producer to support our dynamic video team. This hybrid full-time role requires working at least two days per week from our Jersey City, NJ office, with additional travel to events and shoots as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce standalone video clips optimized for platform-specific distribution by applying strong editorial judgment and thorough knowledge of Forbes' content to maintain brand alignment.
• Collaborate effectively with video producers, sales leads, social strategists, and other stakeholders to deliver sponsored campaigns with a 24-hour turnaround.
• Maintain an organized and comprehensive video archive allowing quick content repurposing for editorial, social, and sponsored purposes.
• Publish assigned content across Forbes' YouTube channels, Forbes.com, and third-party platforms, including crafting performance-driven titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and playlists.
• Regularly analyze platform analytics to provide actionable insights related to audience retention and growth.
• Support the podcast team by uploading audio files to relevant distribution outlets.
• Assist in production duties for Forbes summits and conferences, managing post-production to transform live event footage and interviews into polished digital content.
• Work in tandem with the social strategy team to create assets tailored for social-first campaigns.
• Assist video producers in sourcing, researching, outlining, and scripting daily news segments and longer features.
• Collaborate across departments including social, design, photo, SEO, and newsroom teams to enhance video reporting opportunities.
• Partner with the engineering team to address video platform technical issues, manage workflows, and contribute to feature improvement efforts.
• Ensure consistent application of Forbes' editorial standards and voice in all video metadata, scripts, and promotional materials.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong interpersonal communication skills to liaise effectively with executives, PR teams, and external talents.
• Experienced user of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro.
• Comfortable with hybrid work settings and capable of working additional hours during high-profile news events or major summits.

Compensation and Additional Information

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $66,300. This figure is an estimate and subject to adjustments based on candidate experience, education, skills, and company budgeting. The role may evolve, with additional responsibilities added as business needs change.
