Role Summary

We are looking for an Associate to join our structural design team as a key contributor. This role involves leading design efforts to produce practical and cost-effective infrastructure solutions, focusing on underground and elevated works for MRT systems and roadways.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee team members to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
• Develop and advance conceptual designs and construction sequences for infrastructure projects.
• Supervise the structural analysis and detailed design of underground and elevated infrastructure and foundation works.
• Guide the preparation of comprehensive design reports and calculations suitable for client and regulatory submissions.
• Produce clear, precise technical documentation and presentations.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate designs.

Additional responsibilities may include acting as the main liaison with clients and regulatory authorities to acquire design approvals, managing design development phases, and delivering tender documents and presentations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering accredited by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, Robot, MIDAS Civil, and SAFE.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and familiarity with Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Building and Construction Authority (BCA) standards.
• At least 10 years of relevant consulting experience in designing underground MRT stations, tunnels, vehicular and rail viaducts, and bridges.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-disciplinary teams and engaging effectively with discipline leads.
• Proven success in managing and delivering large-scale underground engineering design and construction projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of local building codes and international structural standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and drafting software is advantageous.
