Role Overview
CentreCourt invites applications for an Associate position within our dynamic development platform. This role is designed for highly capable early-career professionals eager to engage in impactful work across diverse large-scale, mixed-use residential projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Individuals in this position will have continual interaction with senior leadership, gaining broad insights into all facets of the development process.
Primary Duties
- Develop and analyze financial models and development pro formas to guide decisions from land acquisition and zoning to design, sales, leasing, and construction phases.
- Participate in cross-departmental coordination, ensuring projects adhere to timelines and budgets across development, marketing, finance, construction, and customer service teams.
- Identify emerging risks and challenges proactively, escalating concerns while collaborating on mitigation strategies.
- Organize project launches and marketing initiatives, ensuring consultant and stakeholder alignment and high-quality promotional output.
- Support strategic deliberations with development and construction teams about design elements, municipal approvals, tendering, budget monitoring, scheduling, and cost controls.
- Prepare well-crafted advocacy materials, legal agreements, and related documentation for senior management review.
- Maintain stringent financial oversight and manage reporting obligations to partners.
- Utilize strong analytical ability and sound business judgment to deliver coherent recommendations to leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Holds an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business (e.g., B.Comm., MBA) from a prestigious institution, or a law degree (JD or JD/MBA) from a top law school.
- Exhibits a record of strong academic and extracurricular achievements.
- Brings 2–4 years of experience in analytical, fast-paced sectors such as investment banking, real estate, private equity, consulting, law, or accounting.
- Demonstrates ownership of projects coupled with escalating responsibilities and a history of delivering superior performance.
- Experienced in managing complex assignments, independently solving problems, and adapting through constructive feedback.
- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, motivated to excel in a meritocratic and flat organizational structure.
- Capable of self-directed work within collaborative team environments.
- Exhibits critical thinking, strong decision-making aptitude, excellent communication skills, and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, particularly in financial modeling.
- Shows outstanding organizational skills and prioritization ability to handle multiple deadlines effectively.
- Displays a strong work ethic with the flexibility to work beyond typical business hours when necessary.
- While prior direct real estate experience is not mandatory, an authentic interest in real estate development is essential.
