What the role involves

The Assistant Support Worker will help people who use the service with everyday routines, community participation, and the development of life skills. The role is designed to support personal growth, independence, and a positive quality of life.

Day-to-day duties

• Help individuals organise and manage daily activities and routines.
• Support people as they take part in local community life and access community resources.
• Assist with education, skill-building, and progress toward personal goals and desired outcomes.
• Promote independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and staying connected with family and friends.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice as far as reasonably possible.
• Work flexibly across a 24-hour, 7-day service, including shift patterns, to meet service needs.
• Carry out additional duties appropriate to the post as required.
