Role Overview

As an Assistant Project Manager within our Energy & Digital Services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting project delivery from design through to completion. Your responsibilities will include planning, coordination, administration, and communication to ensure projects meet their schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing plans and specifications to produce clear and trackable interpretations from preconstruction to project completion, collaborating with construction teams, end users, and stakeholders.
• Prepare project documentation such as tracking and creating Requests for Information (RFIs), managing submittals, drafting agreements, and maintaining project expediting lists.
• Develop, implement, and monitor construction schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Manage subcontract administration, including ensuring subcontractor compliance, tracking modifications, and handling deliverables.
• Coordinate activities among consultants and contractors, providing direction on behalf of the project owner.
• Support day-to-day site oversight and management of contractors.
• Plan and coordinate all necessary Health & Safety measures to comply with project completion requirements.
• Create and execute a communication plan, maintain detailed reports and meeting minutes, and monitor project progress.
• Contribute to preparing scopes of work, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), cost estimates, budgets, work plans, scheduling milestones, quality control measures, and risk assessments.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing processes and oversee payment of subcontractor invoices.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to support team development and project advancement.
• Submit regular progress reports to Senior Project Managers and escalate any risks or issues to management as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree or diploma in construction or a related field, combined with at least three years of relevant construction experience, or an equivalent blend of technical training and project management expertise.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with scheduling, project management, and contract management software tools.
• Capability to support project teams effectively and resolve challenging situations.

Compensation and Inclusion

The salary for this position ranges from 70000 to 90000 CAD annually.
