Role Overview

The Assistant Maintenance Manager role is a full-time, on-site position focused on supporting the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of the entire Lasseters property, including hotel, entertainment, and casino areas. Key duties involve planning and coordinating maintenance tasks such as routine inspections, preventive upkeep, and prompt repairs of building systems, equipment, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team by assigning daily tasks and monitoring work quality.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance across all maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to address maintenance requests quickly and effectively.
  • Manage contractors and vendors, overseeing maintenance operations to minimize downtime.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance procedures and enhance guest experiences.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with budget management and inventory control of maintenance supplies.
  • Report regularly to the Maintenance Manager on operational status and priorities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage maintenance staff schedules and support performance management.
  • Proficient in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, machinery, and fixtures.
  • Experienced in planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs and managing maintenance workflows.
  • Experience in facilities or property maintenance, especially within hospitality, entertainment, or similar sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements to ensure a safe environment for employees and guests.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and responsiveness to operational demands.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues on site.
  • Possession of a trade qualification or relevant technical certification (such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or building services) is preferred.
