Overview
This role entails managing all facets of a super luxury club's operations, ensuring superior service standards, operational efficiency, and sustained business growth. The Assistant General Manager will lead diverse teams, enforce high-quality departmental standards, elevate guest experiences, and ensure effective coordination across operational divisions while upholding the brand's prestige.
Key Relationships
Reports directly to the General Manager - Club Operations and supervises the heads of F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, Recreation, and Spa departments. Interacts with members, guests, vendors, service providers, regulatory bodies, as well as internal management and staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of multiple departments such as Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering to guarantee seamless functioning.
- Establish and maintain SOPs and quality assurance measures aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
- Monitor and drive KPIs related to service quality, operational efficiency, member satisfaction, and cost management.
- Prepare and lead teams for special events, audits, and emergency/crisis situations.
- Encourage a culture of ongoing learning via coaching, training sessions, and operational walkthroughs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and promote multi-departmental cross-training for flexibility.
- Provide strong leadership that reflects the club's vision and brand ethics, collaborating closely with senior executives.
- Mentor department heads, foster a collaborative environment, implement performance management, and ensure accountability and recognition programs.
- Oversee financial performance including P&L reviews, forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Engage in capital budgeting and investment planning with leadership input.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations such as FSSAI, HACCP, fire safety, and labor laws through audits and risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, audit trails, and vendor compliance records.
- Promote and enforce Occupational Health & Safety standards by conducting regular safety drills, training on HSSE protocols, fire safety, first aid, and managing incident reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hotel Administration, or Business Management from a recognized institution is required.
- A minimum of 12 years progressive hospitality operations experience with at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership capacity, specifically involving Food & Beverage operations.
- Experience within luxury hotels, clubs, or upscale hospitality sectors is mandatory.
