Assistant Director of Operations

Overview

This leadership position is newly established to influence and advance hospital operations, reporting directly to senior leadership. The role involves spearheading operational excellence and transformative projects across hospital functions, infrastructure, and technology. It offers an expansive view of hospital operations with significant potential for growth into broader leadership roles within operational management.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and lead initiatives focused on operational improvement and transformation throughout the hospital.
• Oversee renovation, additions and alterations (A&A), infrastructure, and development projects from initial planning stages to final execution.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors ensuring successful completion of projects.
• Facilitate adoption and implementation of automation, robotics, and digital technologies aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies.
• Evaluate operational and technical needs to align projects with organizational strategies and goals.
• Participate in strategic planning and succession preparations within the Operations division.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Proven senior leadership background in Operations, Engineering, Infrastructure, Facilities Management, or Healthcare Operations.
• Presently holding positions equivalent to Senior Manager, Assistant Director, Senior Assistant Director, or Deputy Director.
• Demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary operational or infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with renovation, A&A, capital works, and infrastructure development projects.
• Engineering expertise is beneficial, especially skills in interpreting technical or construction drawings.
• Familiarity with automation, robotics, smart technology systems, or digital transformation projects.
• Background in healthcare or hospital environments is ideal; exceptional candidates from similarly complex operational sectors will be considered.
