Assistant Audit Manager

Overview

JAR Accounting and Auditing is seeking an Assistant Audit Manager for its Qatar operations. This role is aimed at a seasoned audit professional who can oversee audit work, coordinate teams, and support senior leadership across planning and reporting activities.

Experience and Qualification Requirements

The role calls for deep hands-on exposure to audit and accounting, with a minimum of 15 years in the field and at least 13 years of directly relevant professional experience. A recognized professional qualification is compulsory: CA, CPA, or ACCA.

Core Knowledge and Capabilities

The successful candidate should have strong command of external audit practices, accounting principles, IFRS, and auditing standards. The position also requires the ability to manage audit engagements, guide audit teams, and communicate effectively with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate audit assignments from start to finish.
• Examine audit working papers and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Act as a link between clients and audit teams to keep work progressing smoothly.
• Make sure audit activities are delivered in accordance with professional requirements and agreed timelines.
• Assist partners and managers with audit planning, execution, and reporting.
