Art Director

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Art Director to join our Hamburg location on a full-time, fixed-term contract basis at the earliest opportunity. This role demands a creative leader responsible for maintaining the artistic excellence of our studio productions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the creative quality of daily production activities within the studio.
• Manage shoot operations, ensuring a consistent visual style throughout.
• Monitor styling, hair and makeup, model performance, and set design, making confident visual decisions.
• Collaborate closely with photography, styling, hair & makeup, and post-production teams.
• Translate client briefs into clear visual guidelines for the studio team.
• Ensure brand requirements are implemented efficiently and precisely.
• Continue evolving existing style guides in the context of ongoing operations.
• Serve as a creative contact for selected clients.
• Present image selections and confidently justify visual decisions during client engagements.
• Identify and propose structured improvements for operational setups.
• Maintain a high creative standard even under high-volume conditions.
• Introduce trends and fresh ideas pragmatically within production realities.
• Clearly articulate visual concepts and support clients in advancing their visual language.

Candidate Profile

• Several years of professional experience in art direction, creative roles, or within shooting or agency settings.
• Proven background with e-commerce production workflows and competence handling high-volume outputs.
• Exceptional sensitivity to contemporary, brand-appropriate visual languages across digital platforms.
• Organized, solution-focused approach with decisive capability on set.
• Professional demeanor with confident client communication skills.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Advanced experience using Capture One software.
