Role Overview
The Architectural Designer position is a full-time, remote role working closely with internal teams to support design and planning projects for residential and mixed-use properties. Core tasks include developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed construction drawings, and generating complete design documentation. The role requires producing visual materials and drawings that clearly communicate design intentions, coordinating with various stakeholders to refine plans, and ensuring all designs meet local building codes and community standards. Contributions to urban planning efforts, such as site layout design, neighborhood integration, and sustainable design strategies, are also expected. Success depends on effective communication, virtual collaboration, and punctual delivery of assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Strong background in architecture and architectural design with the ability to convert conceptual ideas into feasible, practical designs.
- Skilled in creating construction drawings and technical documentation that are precise and suitable for building purposes.
- Advanced drawing and visualization capabilities, including digital proficiency for producing plans, elevations, and presentation materials.
- Knowledgeable about urban planning concepts, including site assessment, zoning laws, and designing with community needs in mind.
- Experience in residential or mixed-use architectural design, preferably with awareness of California or coastal environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setup, demonstrating excellent organizational, time management, and team collaboration skills.
- Proficient with standard architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other CAD/BIM platforms.
- Holds a bachelor's degree in architecture or a related discipline, or possesses equivalent professional experience.
