Role Overview
The position is a hands-on Architectural Designer role, ideal for professionals who take ownership of project packages from concept phase all the way through to detailed documentation. Collaboration with senior team members and coordination with consultants is essential to keep projects on schedule and maintain stringent documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design workflow from the conceptual stage through to the developed design phase.
- Create innovative and practical architectural solutions tailored to client specifications.
- Prepare building consent documentation and handle council requests for information (RFIs).
- Coordinate with external consultants such as structural engineers and services specialists, integrating their feedback into the designs.
- Provide support for project implementation including design development, documentation accuracy, and addressing construction inquiries.
Candidate Requirements
- Documented New Zealand experience in residential and/or multi-residential architectural projects.
- Proficiency in using Revit software.
- Valid Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) Level 2 certification is mandatory.
- Understanding of New Zealand Building Code regulations and familiarity with consent procedures.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate well within teams and with consultants.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
