About the Role
We represent a reputable metrology company with more than 30 years of expertise, delivering advanced precision measurement systems. This role involves working as an Applications Engineer specializing in Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and metrology solutions, providing technical support, programming, and customer training. The position is primarily office-based with occasional travel within the UK for client visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Create programs for CMMs employing PC-DMIS software and assist with application support.
- Conduct technical training sessions, demonstrations, and software assistance for customers.
- Perform component measurements using CMMs, portable measurement arms, and laser scanning devices.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and interpret engineering schematics accurately.
- Offer customer support both remotely and via onsite visits across the UK.
- Manage travel logistics efficiently, including overnight stays when necessary, with expenses covered.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in programming or operating CMMs, quality assurance, or metrology environments.
- Proficient in handling precision measurement instruments.
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence for travel commitments.
Additional Information
The company partners with leading manufacturers such as Renishaw, Hexagon, and Kreon, serving sectors like Formula One, aerospace, automotive, and precision engineering. The salary range offered is between 5,000 and 5,000, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) between 48,000 and 5,000, which includes bonuses and further training opportunities.
