Application Support Analyst - Payments

Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading the support, administration, and upkeep of card issuing and acquiring systems, ensuring these payment card platforms deliver high availability, security, optimal performance, and comply with industry standards. The position also involves supporting operational delivery of digital payment channels including ATMs, POS systems, agency banking, merchant services, e-commerce platforms, QR payments, and mobile wallets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage system upgrades, integrations, and deployment of products in collaboration with business units, technology teams, vendors, risk management, and operations to ensure stable, customer-centric digital payment channel services.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior specialists and support teams, facilitating efficient incident resolution, root cause investigations, adherence to best practices, knowledge dissemination, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• First degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
• Preferred certifications include ITIL, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, or other payment industry certifications such as VISA and Mastercard credentials.
• Additional certifications like CISSP and CISM are advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in supporting card issuing and/or acquiring systems within banking or payment services environments.
• In-depth experience with card management systems, payment switches, or payment processing platforms and a strong grasp of card payment procedures and transaction flow.
• Competency in SQL databases with the ability to write queries for troubleshooting and reporting.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience working with APIs, web services, and system integration solutions.
