Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Animal Groomer position involves providing various grooming services such as bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs, cats, and other small pets in compliance with clinic safety and quality standards. The groomer is responsible for monitoring animals for stress or health issues, maintaining grooming hygiene, and properly handling grooming tools and products. The role also includes interacting and advising caregivers on grooming needs, scheduling grooming sessions, and collaborating with veterinary staff to promote a positive grooming experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive grooming tasks including washing, drying, brushing, trimming, and nail care tailored to different animal types.
• Observe animals closely to detect signs of distress or health problems during grooming sessions.
• Keep the grooming workspace clean and sterile to uphold hygiene standards.
• Use grooming equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Engage with pet caregivers to discuss grooming requirements and offer suitable care recommendations.
• Arrange appointments and coordinate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in animal handling and welfare, ensuring gentle and humane treatment.
• Practical experience with pet grooming techniques across various breeds and coat types.
• Strong communication abilities for effective interaction with both pet owners and team members.
• Commitment to maintaining sanitation and adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
• Previous employment experience in grooming salons, veterinary clinics, or similar pet care settings is advantageous.
