Role Overview

The Analyst position is a remote, part-time opportunity designed to strengthen data-driven strategies across the bank’s departments. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in compiling, verifying, and analyzing financial and operational data, supporting the generation of reports and visual dashboards, and uncovering trends and areas for improvement. Regular collaboration with internal teams in banking, trust, and wealth management is expected, with a focus on delivering impactful insights and contributing to organizational growth. This role may also engage in regulatory compliance tasks, bolster internal controls, and assist in standardizing analytical processes and documentation. Maintaining confidentiality, exercising sound judgment, and managing multiple priorities independently are key expectations for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Aggregate, review, and validate large sets of financial and operational information.
• Develop and maintain regularly updated reports and data dashboards tailored to diverse stakeholders.
• Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative evaluations to surface patterns, opportunities, and potential risk factors.
• Partner with teams across banking, trust, and wealth management to interpret analytical findings and propose practical solutions.
• Support initiatives for process enhancements, key performance tracking, and streamlined workflows.
• Contribute to fulfilling regulatory and compliance reporting requirements and enhance internal control measures.
• Document analytical methodologies and operational procedures to ensure consistency and transparency.
• Uphold rigorous accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in all deliverables.

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated prowess in data analysis, finance modeling, and financial statement interpretation.
• Advanced abilities with spreadsheet software and business analytics tools, especially Excel and pivot tables; exposure to SQL or similar technology is advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of banking, finance, or investments; any background in financial services or community banking is considered a plus.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills to relay complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Meticulous organizational skills, with a proven ability to juggle concurrent projects, adhere to deadlines, and maintain precise records.
• Strong capacity to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrating reliability, initiative, and effective prioritization of tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, or related discipline preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks within financial services is a beneficial asset.
