Airport Shuttle Driver

Overview

We are looking for a dependable and customer-oriented Airport Shuttle Driver to safely convey passengers to and from the airport while providing excellent customer service. The role requires driving proficiency and effective communication to create a welcoming first and last impression for clients.

Key Duties

• Warmly greet customers upon arrival.
• Help passengers with loading and unloading their luggage.
• Support Parking Attendants during customer check-ins.
• Safely transport customers adhering to assigned routes and schedules.
• Communicate promptly and professionally with Parking Attendants.
• Adjust routes when necessary for traffic conditions to maintain timeliness.
• Keep the shuttle vehicle clean and in good condition.
• Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or damages immediately to management.
• Notify management of any customer complaints, suspicious activities, or safety concerns.
• Encourage customers to provide positive reviews.
• Handle phone calls courteously and professionally following standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Assist customers with queries regarding directions, operating hours, shuttle schedules, pricing, reward programs, and reservations.
• Maintain the customer waiting area clean and orderly.
• Review operational reports as needed.
• Supervise parking lot upkeep consistent with company standards.
• Follow all safety and security protocols within the parking premises.
• Help valet attendants with cleaning tasks related to the airport shuttle.
• Occasionally vacuum and clean customer vehicles.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections as per guidelines and SOP.
• Comply with all traffic laws and state highway regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies, protocols, and SOPs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Experience in passenger transportation or shuttle driving is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills displaying friendliness and professionalism.
• Fluency in English.
• Familiarity with local roads, traffic flow, and airport procedures.
• Capability to lift and handle heavy luggage.
• Possession of a state-certified Department of Transportation (DOT) driver’s certificate for airport shuttle operations.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work primarily involves operating a shuttle vehicle under varying weather and traffic scenarios.
• Schedule flexibility required including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outdoor work in diverse weather conditions.
• Ability to lift heavy items frequently.
• Prolonged sitting and frequent vehicle entry and exit.
