Job Location and Hours
This role is based at Radius St Joans, 371 Peachgrove Rd, Fairfield, Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand. The position involves approximately 12 hours of work weekly, specifically on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Role Overview
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing person-focused event programs for facility residents. This includes working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to devise individual activity plans ensuring a range of creative and engaging activities are available within the facility. Managing activities within budget limits is also required.
Key Duties
- Assist residents with social participation including diary and personal calendar planning.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop tailored activity plans for residents.
- Coordinate and introduce diverse activities into the facility environment.
- Manage resources according to allocated budgets.
Skills and Experience
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, especially with elderly residents and their families.
- Resourceful, adaptable, patient, and self-driven.
- Effective communication, personable, outgoing, and a good sense of humor.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Possession of a clean full driver's license.
