Account Manager - Pharmacy Benefit Management

About the Role

A healthcare technology company is expanding and in search of an Account Manager specializing in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) to handle a client portfolio. The incumbent will act as the chief daily contact for PBM clients, ensuring proper benefit plan setup, smooth implementation processes, and ongoing account support. Success in this role demands excellent client interaction skills and solid knowledge of PBM operations, including benefit administration and claims management.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison for designated PBM clients.
• Coordinate client onboarding, launch activities, and continuous account maintenance.
• Manage updates related to benefits, eligibility, plan configurations, and overrides.
• Investigate and resolve claims processing issues and client concerns.
• Collaborate with teams from Operations, Clinical, IT, Product, Finance, and Analytics to achieve successful client outcomes.
• Assist in renewals, open enrollment sessions, and modifications to plan designs.
• Perform testing and quality assurance to confirm accurate system configuration and claims handling.
• Monitor key deliverables and foster strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in Account Management within a PBM environment.
• Demonstrated experience in nurturing robust client relationships both internally and externally.
• Capability to lead projects involving various teams and to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
