Role Overview
We invite proactive and visionary candidates to join as a Z/OS System Programmer based in Perth, Australia. This role involves sustaining and advancing mainframe technology solutions integral to the business.
Key Responsibilities and Expertise
- Possess a minimum of 10 years' expertise in Mainframe z/OS System Programming.
- Manage and execute z/OS upgrades and system toleration maintenance hands-on.
- Install and maintain third-party software products relevant to mainframe environments.
- Demonstrate solid understanding and practical knowledge of Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex (GDPS) and Sysplex architectures.
- Develop and maintain REXX programs supporting system automation.
- Apply strong ITIL framework concepts in system operations.
- Knowledge of VTAM and TCP/IP protocols is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Cross-File Backup (XFB) and Connect Direct utilities is preferred.
