Role Details

• Communicate effectively with Dispatcher or Router for proper assignment of trucks, trailers, and loading docks.
• Maintain coupling integrity of assigned equipment.
• Transport trailers between different buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Load, unload, or consolidate shipments across various environments.
• Prepare shuttle trailers for nightly operations.
• Coordinate trailer setups for backhaul including attaching tractors and arranging empty pallets.
• Position return-load trailers to correct doors for warehouse unloading.
• Ensure all equipment is paired and ready to support next day deliveries.
• Collaborate nightly with mechanics to maintain operational readiness.
• Participate in all mandatory company meetings.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to repetitively lift, push, carry, or pull loads ranging from 20 to 80+ pounds throughout each shift.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions including inclement weather.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license from the state of residence is required.
• Preferred minimum six months of commercial driving experience without CDL.
• Manual transmission driving ability preferred and may be required in some locations.
• Must successfully pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to understand road signs, engage in conversation, comply with inquiries, and document information accurately.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Scheduled workdays are Sunday through Thursday, starting at 5 PM until completion of assigned tasks; shift times may vary depending on company needs.
• Pay rate is $21.00 per hour.
• Guaranteed minimum of 40 work hours per week.
• Paid training and overtime compensation provided.
