About the Role

Speedy Hire, the UK's premier provider of tool and specialist equipment hire along with extensive plant and support services, is seeking a Workshop Operative to join their Warrington depot. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:00.

The Workshop Operative plays a vital role by supporting various departments including logistics, transport, customer service, and engineering. Duties cover vehicle loading and unloading, stock management, deliveries, and collections within the depot environment. Working collaboratively within a strong team culture, adaptability and communication skills are essential, alongside maintaining a safe and secure workplace for colleagues and customers.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid driving licence
• Basic IT proficiency to engage with technology platforms used for moving and loading equipment; comprehensive training will be provided
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Capable of quickly adapting to assist different teams
• Commitment to continuous learning and personal development
• Willingness to undertake forklift training course
• Good housekeeping standards
• Ability to take initiative and function effectively both independently and within small teams
