Role Description

The Wine Program Specialist will manage the complete execution and control of onboard wine and spirits offerings for all cabins and worldwide regions. Duties include planning procurement, overseeing logistics, managing inventory, and ensuring all menu details are accurate on both physical and digital menus.

This position requires collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, wine consultants, mixologists, industry experts, and caterers to select and present products that meet Qatar Airways' high standards. The role will also aid product innovation efforts to improve passenger satisfaction through superior beverage selections.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecast, plan, and manage the ordering process of wines, spirits, and liqueurs across different cabin classes.
• Organize end-to-end logistics to guarantee prompt supply availability worldwide.
• Maintain precise inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize obsolete stock.
• Oversee the rotation of wine and spirits aligned with strategic plans and operational schedules, communicating updates effectively.
• Ensure all product information on printed and digital menus is accurate and up to date.
• Compile and validate the content needed for menu cards and digital platforms.
• Assist in supplier database maintenance, product sampling, technical assessments, and onboarding procedures.
• Generate reports focused on performance, risk, and operational analytics for relevant stakeholders.
• Execute additional related responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.

Candidate Profile

• High School, Vocational Qualification, or Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years' professional experience in wine-related business, logistics, and inventory management.
• Professional wine certification such as WSET Level 3, Certified Sommelier, or CSW.
• Deep knowledge of wine and spirits categories.
• Strong analytical abilities coupled with accurate reporting skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Proficient English communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience using MS Office and familiarity with operational software systems.
