Role Purpose
In this position, you will act as a dependable partner to Wealth Advisors by providing high-quality administrative and client support so that client needs are met efficiently. The role is designed for someone who wants to continue building knowledge in financial services while applying that learning in day-to-day work. It can support either a long-term path as a Wealth Planning Associate or future progression toward becoming a Wealth Advisor.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in the Toronto office. Under the flexible hybrid arrangement, you are expected to work from the office three days each week.
Key Responsibilities
Your work will focus on supporting advisors and ensuring smooth client servicing across planning and administrative activities.
- Assist Wealth Advisors in delivering high-quality financial planning and wealth management support to clients.
- Coordinate client review meetings, manage scheduling, and prepare meeting documents and materials.
- Create and organize investment portfolio review materials.
- Carry out analysis of insurance needs.
- Handle routine client requests and work with internal teams across Nicola Wealth to help complete follow-up actions where needed.
- Provide personalized, end-to-end client service and respond quickly to questions or concerns.
- Continue learning on the job to strengthen skills, knowledge, and professional capability.
- Take on additional related duties as business needs evolve.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant client-facing experience in a wealth management setting, with exposure to investing, financial planning, and insurance planning.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Comfort working with numbers and using analytical thinking.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive, accountable, and self-driven approach to work.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving, deadline-oriented environment.
- Capacity to stay focused on detailed and complex work while balancing competing priorities.
- Professional, team-oriented, and composed under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of, or active progress toward, CFP, QAFP, CIM, CFA Level 1, or LLQP is considered an advantage.
- Prior use of a CRM platform, especially Salesforce, is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this position is $70,000 to $85,000, with the final amount depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition, the role includes a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution, and participation in the profit-sharing program.
