Job summary
The Warehouse Audit Supervisor for hardware and chemical storage is tasked with ensuring warehouse operations remain compliant, accurate, safe, and well organized. The role centers on 6S discipline, inventory verification, environmental and safety compliance, and ongoing improvement of warehouse performance. It calls for sharp analytical thinking, close attention to detail, and the ability to lead audit and corrective action activities across several warehouse zones.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, apply, and continually improve warehouse audit processes and 6S standards to support order, cleanliness, and safety.
- Carry out routine warehouse checks and area assessments, oversee corrective actions, and confirm that improvements are completed effectively.
- Examine inventory control practices to make sure physical stock, system data, and warehouse locations match exactly.
- Monitor correct labeling, item identification, and secure storage practices for all materials, including chemicals and other hazardous substances.
- Carry out planned and surprise stock counts, investigate differences, and work with the right teams to close out issues quickly.
- Compile thorough audit reports, review trends in the data, and suggest actions that improve efficiency and compliance.
- Make sure warehouse activities follow occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Work closely with procurement, production, and safety teams to improve material movement, storage practices, and reporting workflows.
- Encourage responsibility, accuracy, and a mindset of continuous improvement among warehouse staff.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly performance updates for senior management, including findings, progress, and recommendations.
Qualifications and skills
- A master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics auditing, or inventory control is needed; experience in ceramics, chemicals, or manufacturing is considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of 6S practices, warehouse procedures, and compliance audit methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to maintain accurate, reliable records.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured reasoning, and report-writing capability.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel and other office applications for analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- A strong sense of ownership, teamwork, and initiative focused on continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across departments.
