About the Role
The Warehouse and Inventory Manager will oversee warehouse operations to optimize efficiency, ensure accurate inventory management, and lead warehouse personnel to achieve high performance.
Key Duties
- Oversee warehouse activities in alignment with company policies and vision.
- Maintain a secure work environment by complying with safety standards and internal regulations.
- Design and implement streamlined warehouse procedures to boost productivity and lower operational costs.
- Lead and coordinate all warehouse tasks, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipment dispatch.
- Hire, train, guide, and assess warehouse employees to improve their skills and performance.
- Organize employee work schedules, assign duties properly, evaluate outcomes, and manage bi-weekly payroll submissions.
- Hold regular team meetings for coordination and updates.
- Collaborate closely with the Warehouse Lead Hand to ensure daily operational responsibilities are fulfilled.
- Supervise inventory by maintaining appropriate stock levels and resolving inconsistencies through necessary adjustments.
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly stock counts and perform reconciliations accordingly.
- Work together with departments such as Administration, Logistics, Procurement, and Sales to enhance workflow.
- Coordinate with other company branches on availability of short-dated products.
- Maintain effective relationships with the Pepsi supplier for seamless supply operations.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role in dynamic environments.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and safety protocols.
- Strong leadership capabilities to effectively guide teams.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Flexible availability to accommodate operational needs.
- Preferred expertise in inventory control and scanning technologies.
- Competence in operating all warehouse machinery and equipment.
