Position Overview

A full-time Waiter opportunity is available in Cairns, Queensland, offering a permanent role with an annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000 depending on experience. The role focuses on delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guests in a fast-paced café environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and provide menus including beverage lists.
• Accurately take dine-in and takeaway orders while considering dietary requirements.
• Effectively communicate customer orders to kitchen and beverage personnel.
• Serve food, snacks, and beverages promptly while adhering to the café's service standards.
• Manage simultaneous orders during peak service times to maintain efficiency.
• Describe menu items and daily specials and suggest appropriate food and drinks to customers.
• Handle payment processing with point-of-sale systems and cash registers.
• Clear, clean, and reset dining tables and ensure used items are correctly returned for cleaning.
• Assist in seating arrangements and managing reservations as necessary.
• Monitor and restock service and dining areas to maintain supplies.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate major issues to management.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, liquor licensing, and responsible service protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in café dining and service areas.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience
