We are currently looking for a Wagenmeister:in (m/f/d) to join DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH at locations in Dortmund, Duisburg, Frankfurt am Main, Hagen, Hamm, or Karlsruhe.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare documentation required for train operations such as wagon lists and brake sheets.
- Conduct technical wagon inspections and report any irregularities found.
- Perform tasks in compliance with mandatory rules and prescribed regulations.
- Carry out running capability assessments and manage damaged wagons as part of daily duties.
- Inspect rental wagons upon their return.
Candidate Profile
- Completed a technical vocational training, preferably as an industrial mechanic or a related metalworking profession, complemented ideally by specialized training as a freight wagon master; qualifications as a train conductor or shunting assistant are a plus.
- Familiar with necessary regulations and experienced in operational railway service.
- Knowledge of track construction is advantageous.
- Willingness to work nationwide at varying sites, including weekends and shift work, which may also involve night shifts.
- Possession of a class B driver's license is mandatory for this role.
