Role Overview
This role is instrumental in enhancing store profitability by ensuring excellent visual merchandising that meets or surpasses sales and KPI goals. The Visual Merchandiser works collaboratively with team members to foster an outstanding shopping environment and steps in to perform Store Manager duties when the Store Manager or Supervisor is unavailable.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate store performance data to make necessary adjustments that enhance commercial results, focusing on visual merchandising.
- Organize and allocate resources effectively to optimize efficiency and productivity in store maintenance, floor layout planning, in-store communication, and cost control.
- Lead the presentation of products using best visual merchandising practices to deliver a compelling consumer experience from stock arrival to sale.
- Set an example by delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding customer expectations consistently.
- Supervise and support store team members to maintain high service levels at all times.
- Act as a Brand Ambassador by exemplifying brand values and attitude.
- Apply advanced category knowledge to boost sales and cultivate customer loyalty within designated areas.
- Conduct training sessions on visual merchandising techniques aligned with marketing concepts and brand campaigns; support ongoing foundational and seasonal product knowledge training for the team.
- Lead and coordinate team efforts to uphold global and local visual merchandising and in-store communication standards, including key product placements and timely merchandising activities.
- Manage merchandise receipt and processing on the day of delivery.
- Maintain an organized stockroom and oversee sales floor replenishment to keep the product range fully available and accessible for customers.
- Implement all relevant loss prevention measures.
- Ensure the store environment is both safe and productive for customers and employees.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and motivating team members to optimize their performance.
- Share best practices to improve overall store team results and support market visual merchandising strategy and execution.
- Coach visual merchandising champions to consistently maintain standards.
- Complete training programs and apply learnings effectively on the job.
- Seek ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance personal performance.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 12 months’ work experience in a sports or fashion retail environment, demonstrating strong customer service and commercial awareness.
- Proven advanced selling skills and a thorough understanding of retail products and industry trends.
- Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
- Proficient in numeracy and literacy, with excellent verbal communication skills.
