Truck Driver

Overview

This position entails working on-site as a truck driver responsible for the safe and professional transportation of goods. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills and be prepared to work as part of a two-person team or convoy.

Language and Education Requirements

• Proficiency in English is required.
• Candidates must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professionalism while delivering customer service.
• Drive as part of a team or convoy to transport goods.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently and safely.
• Secure necessary special permits and documentation for international transport routes.
• Operate straight or articulated trucks to convey goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle condition including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage units, and other related equipment.
• Handle payments related to cargo transactions.
• Perform emergency repairs on the roadside when necessary.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips.
• Communicate relevant information and updates to central dispatch.
• Log cargo data, hours driven, distance covered, and fuel usage accurately.
