About the Role
Jay Jay Mills (India) Private Limited is seeking an experienced Transport Incharge to manage transport operations at our Tirupur and Perundurai SIPCOT facilities. This role involves overseeing vehicle scheduling, driver assignment, and ensuring compliance with safety and statutory mandates.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily transport activities across Tirupur and Perundurai SIPCOT units.
- Plan routes and efficiently allocate drivers to optimize transportation schedules.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules and address vehicle breakdowns promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of fuel usage, vehicle servicing, and trip logs.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, Regional Transport Office norms, and legal compliances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address transport demands and liaise with vendors for service follow-ups.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or graduate degree in Automobile Engineering.
- 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in vehicle maintenance and transport management.
- Proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Excel and report generation.
- Strong communication skills coupled with effective team leadership capabilities.
- Experience in managing drivers and coordinating with vendors.
