Train Dispatcher in Operations Control Center

About the Role

We offer numerous entry-level and advanced training opportunities. Currently, we are looking for a Train Dispatcher for the Operations Control Center at S-Bahn Hamburg GmbH based in Hamburg.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor train traffic within a designated sub-network area from the control center.
• Manage train dispatching according to local operational requirements, considering functional, geographical, or product-related aspects within the sub-network.
• Issue professional instructions to train traffic controllers as necessary to regulate train movement.
• Communicate with various interfaces and stakeholders when required.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive professional experience as a train traffic controller, including years of operating complex infrastructure at signal boxes within the S-Bahn Hamburg network.
• Qualification as a train dispatcher or willingness to acquire it, alongside readiness for further training to become an area dispatcher.
• Strong team spirit and resilience under high workload and time pressure, complemented by a pronounced sense of responsibility and economical thinking.
• Willingness to work shift patterns including night shifts on all days of the week.
