Role Overview
We are seeking a well-organized and highly proactive Trade Marketing Associate to join our Consumer OTC Category team based in St Leonards. Reporting to the Category & Channel Strategy Manager, the role involves executing trade marketing plans via coordination of retailer activities, point-of-sale (POS) materials, retailer digital and catalogue assets, as well as managing trade conferences. Collaboration with Category, Sales, Marketing teams, and external agencies is essential to ensure trade marketing projects meet deadlines, uphold quality standards, and effectively drive brand and shopper engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of retailer and shopper marketing campaigns within Aspen's Consumer OTC portfolio.
- Manage trade artwork processes for retailer catalogues, digital platforms, and below-the-line (BTL) promotional activities from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate production of POS materials, sampling initiatives, and maintain an updated trade activity calendar.
- Plan and manage the execution of the APP Conference along with other trade conferences.
- Collaborate with Category Managers and National Account Managers to monitor campaign results, analyze competitor actions, and provide insights for upcoming trade marketing strategies.
- Handle supplier invoice processing and assist with trade budget oversight and reconciliation.
- Administer SKU Vantage system and offer reporting, data handling, and administrative assistance to the Category team.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will be detail-focused, well organized, and able to juggle multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment. Candidates should have:
- Experience in trade marketing, marketing support, category management, sales support, or marketing administration, preferably in FMCG, retail, or consumer healthcare sectors.
- Strong organizational, project coordination, and communication skills.
- Capability to foster productive partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Category, and external agencies.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a readiness to take responsibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Exposure to SKU Vantage, CRM, or equivalent business platforms is desirable.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Commerce, or related fields will be an advantage.
