Role Overview
The Technical Training Executive will be responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing technical training programs focused on production skills within the marine and offshore sector. This includes ensuring training content meets organizational standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and conduct training sessions using diverse methods such as demonstrations and hands-on practices.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, practical assignments, and evaluation tools aligned with training goals.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to address skill gaps and tailor training accordingly.
- Evaluate trainee progress through tests, quizzes, and practical skill assessments.
- Maintain detailed records of training activities and participant feedback for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the periodic review of training effectiveness and suggest enhancements to materials and delivery techniques.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Higher Nitec in engineering disciplines related to Marine or Offshore industries.
- At least 5 years of direct experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or offshore fabrication production roles.
- Certified Workplace Trainer & Assessor credentials (such as ACTA or ACLP) are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of yard safety requirements, classification rules, quality standards, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for clear instruction to adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in both theoretical instruction and practical skill training.
- Ability to assess learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
- Passionate about workforce skill development and committed to maintaining high standards of excellence.
Additional Information
Location: Seatrium Limited, Tuas Boulevard Yard, 80 Tuas South Boulevard, Singapore 637051. Islandwide transport is provided.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:15 PM; Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
