Position Overview
Connex Telecommunications Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist to take charge of application development, production support, and operational upkeep for a platform integration deployed in a client's private cloud infrastructure. This multifaceted position involves coding, incident response, integration maintenance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams focused on technologies such as Microsoft Bot Framework, Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce, Google Dialogflow, Node.js, and large language model-powered autonomous agent platforms.
Primary Duties
- Diagnose and address production incidents using predefined procedures, monitoring utilities, and automated diagnostic instruments.
- Examine logs pertaining to applications, APIs, networks, and infrastructure to uncover root causes and suggest corrective actions.
- Support and maintain custom platform adapter applications as well as associated messaging workflow integrations.
- Code and sustain services related to data ingestion, translation, and masking.
- Identify and resolve network issues involving virtual machines, IP setup, DNS, routing, and system connectivity.
- Oversee certificate lifecycle management, including renewals, validation, deployment, and related troubleshooting.
- Liaise with infrastructure, DevOps, Microsoft Support, and various vendor teams during incident handling.
- Validate APIs through testing of responses, payloads, error codes, and HTTP statuses, particularly with client-developed APIs.
- Engage in knowledge-sharing sessions, conduct code reviews, create technical documentation, and participate in release and operations readiness tasks.
- Ensure meticulous documentation of troubleshooting methods and technical procedures.
Essential Technical Skills
- Comprehensive grasp of virtual machines, networking, DNS, connectivity, and network architecture.
- Expertise with Python programming (especially Pandas), scripting and automation tasks.
- Proficiency in production support, incident management, and technical problem-solving.
- Experience with SSL/TLS, certificate operations, SSH, Vim, JSON, and basic command-line troubleshooting.
- Front-end and web development skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of RESTful API creation, integration, and diagnostics.
- Capability in log analysis and root cause assessment.
Required Experience
- Background in developing and supporting server-side Node.js applications.
- Exposure to platforms such as Microsoft Bot Framework, Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce, Google Dialogflow, or other AI-driven agent tools.
- Experience integrating with Microsoft Teams and other enterprise messaging solutions.
- Work with event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Azure Repos, Azure development, and related DevOps strategies.
- Competence in leveraging large language models and AI-focused application connectors.
- Hands-on knowledge of Amazon S3, DynamoDB, and other database systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior involvement with enterprise applications running in regulated or highly controlled environments.
- Understanding of enterprise practices within Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Comfort working with diverse teams including DevOps, cybersecurity, and vendor support.
- Strength in technical documentation, transferring expertise, and supporting operations.
- Proven analytical and communication prowess with adeptness in problem-solving.
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities and respond quickly to urgent production matters.
