Position Overview
The role of Technical Services Lead plays a key part in managing and overseeing the technological facets of localization projects within the industry. This leadership position requires overseeing a team of technical specialists and ensuring smooth technology integration throughout the localization processes. A thorough knowledge of localization procedures, relevant software, and dedication to delivering high-grade localized content is essential. This role is closely associated with the Technical Vertical and Strategic Accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer technical expertise and lead the development and deployment of localization solutions.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to comprehend project needs and align technology solutions accordingly.
- Manage and mentor a team of technical professionals, promoting a creative and cooperative work culture.
- Advise on technical matters and support the team’s skill advancement.
- Assess, choose, and deploy localization tools and platforms to improve productivity and quality.
- Supervise integration of CAT tools, TMS, and other related technologies.
- Enhance localization workflows by identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
- Conduct regular evaluations to ensure adopted technology aligns with industry best standards.
- Work with quality assurance teams to guarantee the delivery of precise and culturally fitting localized material.
- Set and advocate for standards of quality across technical localization efforts.
- Interact with clients to grasp their technical needs and provide expert guidance on localization technology.
- Participate in client meetings and demonstrate technical expertise and solutions.
- Rapidly resolve technical issues encountered during localization processes in cooperation with relevant teams.
- Keep detailed documentation of technical workflows and configurations.
- Prepare routine reports on technical progress for leadership assessment.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, Localization, or related fields.
- A minimum of five years’ experience working with process automation and workflow design software, ideally within localization.
- Demonstrated experience in technical leadership positions in the localization domain.
- Strong familiarity with localization processes, CAT tools, TMS, and associated technologies.
- Proven project management and organizational aptitudes.
- Awareness of industry norms and new developments in localization technology.
- Clear goal setting with SMART objectives.
- Dedication and discipline for consistent, focused effort toward success.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Agility and adaptability to new challenges and changing scenarios.
