Position Summary
The Technical Design Detailer supports Design Leads, Design Associates, and Project Teams by producing detailed 2D CAD drawings derived from models. This entry-level role offers growth potential and reports directly to senior leadership within Technical Design and Operations.
Key Duties
- Generate precisely detailed and annotated CAD drawings that satisfy project and client requirements for both internal and external use.
- Collaborate closely with project and design teams to provide cohesive and quality drawing packages.
- Support maintenance of technical design servers, CAD management systems, and related software.
- Apply internal industry drawing standards to clearly communicate architectural, scenic, experiential, and fabrication specifications.
- Ensure punctual submission of drawings for external review and internal fabrication processes.
- Coordinate with senior design staff to confirm that designs adhere to intent, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Maintain proficiency in AutoCAD and a readiness to learn additional CAD software such as Fusion 360 and Rhino.
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of an internal library of standard CAD components including hardware and truss elements.
- Adhere to company drawing standards to produce legible, well-annotated client and fabrication drawings, including CNC file preparation.
- Assist design leads and project teams as needed to meet project timelines.
- Record and manage revision updates throughout design, fabrication, and project closeout phases.
- Occasional travel required, approximately 10% of the time.
- Despite some remote-capable tasks, a consistent onsite presence is essential to maintain quality, coordinate effectively, and support installations in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
- Minimum 5 years of experience using CAD software with strong knowledge of architectural construction drawing annotations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, Slack, Google Calendar, and CAD applications (AutoCAD mandatory; Fusion 360, Rhino, SketchUp are advantageous).
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging between $55,000 and $60,000, dependent on experience and fit.

Additional Information
