Role Summary
The Technical Buyer position is a full-time, onsite role based in Port Harcourt. The incumbent manages the entire procurement cycle for technical materials, equipment, and services pertinent to Oil & Gas projects. Key duties involve preparing and issuing requests for quotations, assessing supplier bids, conducting negotiations on prices and terms, and generating purchase orders consistent with company policies and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, logistics, and finance teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budget.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and support compliance audits by adhering to internal and external standards.
- Monitor supplier performance, promptly address any delivery delays or quality concerns, and liaise to resolve issues.
- Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes and ethical sourcing practices across the supply chain function.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a Bachelor’s or HND degree in Engineering, Management, or Social Sciences.
- At least two years’ experience in a procurement role.
- Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain governance and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficient in managing financial budgets influencing procurement decisions and activities.
- Track record of professional and team development.
- Experience fostering ethical standards in procurement.
- Expertise in spend management and proficient use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Compensation
The role offers a monthly gross salary in the range of ₦350,000 to ₦450,000.
