Team Lead Systems Engineer - Windows and Microsoft 365

Role Overview

Join Insignia Financial in a newly established leadership capacity within the Technology Infrastructure Services team based in Adelaide. This position blends direct people management with active technical involvement, focusing on Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments. As the Team Lead, you will guide, coach, and inspire up to 10 engineers and contractors, ensuring system security, stability, and continual enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Infrastructure Engineers team to cultivate a highly engaged and high-achieving work culture.
• Manage ServiceNow workflows including queue handling, ticket resolutions, escalation processes, and monitoring SLA adherence.
• Drive operational excellence across Windows Server and Microsoft 365 platforms, ensuring optimal performance.
• Oversee vulnerability management, alert surveillance, and general platform health maintenance.
• Support core infrastructure technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, and Entra ID.
• Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects, automation efforts, and overall operational advancements.
• Engage in infrastructure project planning, technical solution design, and delivery activities.
• Coordinate the on-call schedule for the team to maintain effective support coverage.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated expertise managing and supporting enterprise-scale Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Proven leadership capabilities in mentoring and developing technical teams.
• Strong familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, Entra ID, and comprehensive infrastructure services.
• Experience working within service delivery frameworks, including handling incidents, managing tickets, and SLA compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration.
• A proactive and supportive leadership approach focused on team success and development.
• Ability to effectively balance priorities between direct technical work, operational management, and leading people.
