Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Overview

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Dexian, you will play a crucial role in the recruitment process by delivering excellent candidate service and coordinating projects to support hiring efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify and attract skilled trades professionals such as electricians, welders, mechanics, HVAC technicians, maintenance staff, and machinists using the Avature ATS/CRM platform, job boards, social media, and specialized trade sites.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines and pools for key positions across various locations.
• Conduct research on target companies, vocational schools, unions, and regional markets with a strong presence of skilled trades talent.
• Engage candidates through multiple communication channels including email, phone calls, SMS, and social media outreach.
• Perform initial phone screenings to verify candidates' experience, credentials, salary expectations, shift preferences, location, and eligibility to work.
• Shortlist qualified candidates and coordinate handoffs to recruiters and hiring managers while ensuring candidates have a positive initial experience.
• Utilize Avature daily to organize candidates, build talent communities, execute campaigns through email and SMS, maintain data hygiene, and generate basic pipeline and sourcing reports.
• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements and candidate must-haves.
• Provide market insight regarding candidate availability, compensation trends, and competing employers.
• Recommend new sourcing channels such as trade schools, veteran programs, and job fairs to enhance recruitment outcomes.

Candidate Qualifications

• Between 7 and 15 years of recruiting or sourcing experience, with at least 7 years dedicated to skilled trades positions.
• Demonstrated success recruiting for roles such as electricians, welders, mechanics, HVAC, or maintenance technicians.
• At least one year of hands-on experience with the Avature ATS or CRM system, adept at managing talent pools, conducting searches, running campaigns, and generating reports.
• Proficiency in sourcing techniques including Boolean search, LinkedIn, job boards, and social media platforms.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple roles and candidate pipelines concurrently.
• Effective communicator with professionalism when engaging candidates and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable recruiting and skilled trades hiring experience.
