Overview

The Talent Acquisition Sourcer role, based in Toronto, Ontario, is a 12-month contract position with possibilities for extension or conversion. This role is part of the Integrated Talent Solutions (ITS) group, where the strategic sourcer is responsible for devising and implementing candidate sourcing strategies that emphasize engaging passive talent through quality and speed. Collaborating closely with recruiters and hiring managers, the sourcer will provide critical market insights and execute talent attraction strategies suited to various business needs.

Main Responsibilities

Identify, engage, and assess top talent in the marketplace.
Utilize advanced sourcing technologies to discover potential candidates across different business lines.
Develop talent pipelines for essential skill sets to accelerate the hiring process.
Serve as a main contact for candidates and leads, ensuring a positive recruitment experience.
Maintain expertise in the industry sector, providing reports on talent landscape, competitive analysis, and resourcing trends.
Innovate sourcing approaches and test new methods to attract diverse candidates and enhance outreach effectiveness.
Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of recruitment metrics.
Collaborate with internal teams such as Talent Branding and TA Pathways to promote diversity and enhance brand presence.

Proactive Sourcing Focus

Design and execute proactive candidate outreach initiatives aligned with workforce planning.
Build pre-qualified candidate pools to support immediate and future hiring needs.
Convert passive candidates into active applicants through positive representation of opportunities.
Communicate market positioning regarding roles, compensation, and organizational fit to external talent.
Maintain authenticity and foster long-term relationships with prospective candidates.

Qualifications

Demonstrable experience in talent sourcing across multiple business units and geographic regions.
Background in technology or startup environments preferred.
Experience with full-cycle recruitment, research, or specialized sourcing functions.
Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and craft compelling talent acquisition stories.
Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities with a sense of urgency.
Ability to thrive in dynamic settings, offering insights and challenging existing processes.
