Role overview
Endura Mining is at an early, formative stage and is expanding quickly across active New Zealand operations and a growing corporate team in Sydney. The business is preparing for production within the next 12 to 18 months and aims to develop into a multi-asset operation with 3 to 5 gold and copper projects. This role offers the chance to help build the recruitment function from the ground up while supporting a period of significant growth.
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator who can manage recruitment end to end for the mining site and also contribute to building scalable systems and processes. It is a practical, hands-on position for someone who enjoys both delivery and design in a fast-changing environment.
Key responsibilities
You will coordinate hiring across operational, technical, trade, blue-collar and corporate roles, work closely with leaders on site to understand workforce needs, and help create an efficient and compliant recruitment approach. The role also involves strengthening the candidate experience, supporting employer branding, and contributing to wider People and Culture work as the function grows.
Recruitment and hiring
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for mining, operations, trades, technical and corporate vacancies.
- Partner with site leaders to understand staffing requirements, roster patterns and operational limitations.
- Source candidates proactively for difficult-to-fill regional and blue-collar positions.
- Run recruitment drives when larger hiring volumes are needed.
- Arrange interviews, site visits and assessments, medical checks, reference or background screening, and offer coordination.
- Provide a positive candidate journey that reflects Endura’s values.
Site partnership and engagement
- Develop strong working relationships with site leadership and frontline teams.
- Visit mine sites regularly to support hiring activities, learn the roles directly and represent the company’s employer brand.
- Contribute to workforce planning conversations with operational managers.
Systems, process and compliance
- Assist with rolling out new recruitment systems, tools and workflows.
- Help create practical hiring processes, templates and recruitment guidelines.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of an ATS or similar recruitment technology.
- Make sure recruitment practices follow legislation, awards and site-specific requirements.
Employer brand and reporting
- Represent Endura at careers events and industry forums when needed.
- Monitor recruitment metrics such as time to hire, quality of hire and pipeline strength.
- Look for ways to improve hiring speed, consistency and quality.
- Support broader People and Culture initiatives as the team expands.
About you
The ideal candidate has worked as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator or Recruiter, preferably in mining, resources, construction or other blue-collar environments. You should be confident recruiting operational and site-based roles, comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-moving settings, and able to balance practical delivery with process design. Strong stakeholder management, especially with site leaders, is important, along with the ability to engage frontline workers effectively. The role also requires strong organisation, resilience, results focus and a willingness to travel regularly to mine sites.
Benefits
- Competitive pay package
- Accommodation allowance
- Work bus provided from Reefton and Greymouth
- Healthcare coverage for all staff
- Training and career development support
- Supportive, safety-led workplace culture
- Employee wellbeing and assistance programmes
