Overview
Join the Sustainability, Reputation and Engagement strategic business unit at MCB Group, instrumental in advancing the Group’s sustainability initiatives. This role focuses on supporting the development and accuracy of sustainability disclosures amid growing reporting demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage major components of the annual Sustainability Report including planning content, gathering data, consolidating information, conducting reviews, and maintaining audit trails.
- Support the adoption and integration of sustainability frameworks such as GRI, ISSB/IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, integrated reporting principles, and other relevant compliance or voluntary reporting requirements.
- Analyze and refine data collection methods to ensure accuracy, traceability, and audit-readiness, while identifying opportunities for automation across all critical Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors.
- Extract and maintain data for the Group’s sustainability dashboard by utilizing data analytics tools and exploring software solutions like ESG platforms and Business Intelligence tools to improve reporting processes and facilitate decision-making.
- Contribute to quality assurance procedures to enhance the reliability of sustainability-related data disclosures.
- Prepare communication materials and presentation content on sustainability and corporate engagement for Board meetings and employee inductions.
- Serve as the operational liaison for external sustainability advocacy organizations' reporting demands.
- Assist in planning and executing stakeholder engagement initiatives connected to sustainability reporting and corporate priorities.
- Develop clear and targeted sustainability narratives aligned with data disclosures and approved organizational messaging.
- Embody and promote the values and brand image of MCB in daily operations to strengthen internal and external reputation.
- Participate in process improvement efforts that enhance governance, transparency, and accountability in sustainability reporting.
Candidate Profile and Competencies
- Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to juggle various tasks and meet deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail paired with strong ownership of data quality, documentation, and follow-up activities.
- Analytical mindset capable of handling both qualitative and quantitative sustainability data.
- Adept at collaborating across diverse teams and hierarchical levels.
- Excellent communication talents including drafting written content and creating presentation materials for diverse audiences.
- Flexibility in adapting approaches to suit different stakeholders and situational demands.
- Sound judgement, resilience, and the capacity to perform under evolving reporting conditions.
- Effective influencing skills to gain and sustain stakeholder commitment professionally.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- Master’s degree specializing in sustainability or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in corporate sustainability reporting involving frameworks such as SDGs, GRI, IIRC, ISSB, etc.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability reporting standards including GRI, ISSB/IFRS standards, integrated reporting principles, and Sustainable Development Goals.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex reporting cycles, engaging multiple internal and external stakeholders, and managing detailed documentation and evidence requirements.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with ESG reporting platforms, dashboard tools, data management solutions, or project trackers is advantageous.
- Certifications in Corporate Sustainability reporting and Carbon Accounting are a plus and will be considered alongside experience.
