About the Role

Care on Call is devoted to providing personalized support to individuals in the community, demonstrating great dedication to both clients and staff. We currently seek compassionate support workers in Hawera and nearby areas of Taranaki to assist clients with various home and personal care tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Helping clients with personal care needs such as showering, toileting, and dressing
Conducting passive exercises and stretching with clients
Performing household tasks including meal preparation and light cleaning

Additional Role Details

We prioritize consistent care and seek candidates who can occasionally accept hourly shifts on an ad hoc basis, including some weekend work, though weekend availability is not required every time.

Qualifications and Requirements

Strong communication abilities
Possession of Level 2, 3, or 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or an equivalent credential
Residence in Hawera area
Reliable and regular availability for shifts
A current, clean driver’s license (full)
Prior experience as a caregiver or support worker with similar clients
Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
Energetic disposition, proactive approach, and good sense of humor
Dependability, punctuality, honesty, and genuine care for clients
