About the Company and Role
First Focus is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) with nearly 500 employees operating throughout Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. Recently expanding into New Zealand, the company is on a mission to become the nation's favored MSP by nurturing great technicians and strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Handle and resolve support tickets involving Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Azure, Microsoft 365, and Exchange environments.
- Troubleshoot desktop computers, servers, firewalls, and network infrastructure efficiently and effectively.
- Provide support for cloud platforms including Azure AD, Entra, Hyper-V, Citrix, and AWS (excluding VMware).
- Participate in project deployments during critical or complex phases.
- Balance working remotely from the office and performing onsite visits as required.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to maintain streamlined, secure, and robust IT environments.
- Travel to client locations as needed, with expenses such as fuel, parking, and tolls covered by the company.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Extensive understanding of Active Directory, primarily Azure AD but also some on-premises AD.
- Solid technical skills with Windows Server, Exchange, and cloud-based platforms.
- Competence across multiple layers of IT infrastructure including desktops, firewalls, and LAN/WAN networks.
- Experience using ticketing systems and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure users feel supported.
- Strong communication abilities, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for problem-solving.
- Possession of a valid New Zealand driver’s license or legal ability to drive in New Zealand and access to a personal vehicle, as this is a hybrid role requiring onsite visits.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range from NZD 65,000 to 75,000 annually, plus Kiwisaver contributions, adjusted by experience and qualifications.
