Role Summary

This position involves building and leading the North American supply chain and procurement functions from the ground up. The manager will be responsible for developing a supplier network, managing comprehensive logistics, and ensuring uninterrupted material availability to support HVAC projects for data centers across the United States. This is a pioneering role suited for individuals who excel at system creation, negotiation, and scaling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee the U.S. supplier network, including Authorized Service Providers and material vendors.
• Source, assess, and enter into contracts with ASPs across targeted regions ensuring a capable supplier pool for project needs.
• Procure parts, consumables, tools, and materials specific to HVAC projects.
• Set up frame agreements and long-term contracts to lower procurement costs on frequent purchases.
• Conduct supplier qualification focusing on compliance, technical capabilities, and safety; perform regular performance evaluations.
• Manage all stages of procurement: from RFQs and purchase orders to monitoring deliveries and invoice processing.
• Drive cost control measures and provide monthly procurement reports.
• Ensure adherence to procurement compliance and protect supplier information confidentially.
• Handle cross-border logistics, including ocean, air, and courier shipments, and manage freight within the U.S.
• Supervise shipping, customs clearance, duty payments, and last-mile delivery across multiple states.
• Optimize transportation and logistics strategies specifically for regions including Texas, California, and North Carolina.
• Resolve logistics challenges such as shipment delays, damages, and losses to guarantee consistent delivery.
• Lead the establishment of three U.S. warehouses from selecting sites to designing layouts and implementing daily operations.
• Create warehouse SOPs encompassing receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory cycles.
• Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to align logistics with project timelines.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Have over 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain roles, including at least 2 years within engineering services or equipment procurement.
• Demonstrate proven skills in developing suppliers and negotiating contracts.
• Understand thoroughly the procurement lifecycle: sourcing, bidding, contracting, tracking, and reconciliation.
• Be experienced with international trade logistics, including freight forwarding and customs clearance.
• Hold strong analytical abilities using Excel or procurement tools for cost evaluations.
• Have excellent English language skills for dealings with suppliers and carriers.
• Show capability in identifying risks and solving problems effectively.
• Preferred credentials include experience in data center, HVAC, or mechanical services industries, familiarity with U.S. Authorized Service Providers networks, and prior involvement in establishing warehousing and logistics.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual pay ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
