Role Overview
This role involves leading and managing the supply chain team, including distribution and packaging staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and forecast workloads, schedules, and staffing to align with operational demands and act as a key contact with other departments.
- Establish performance goals and deadlines consistent with company objectives while recognizing team member strengths and assigning tasks to foster growth.
- Oversee accurate receiving, tracking, and transferring of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Address and resolve discrepancies related to freight effectively.
- Supervise both automated and manual production or pick/pack assembly lines.
- Handle complex projects with adaptability amid changing deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with training, safety regulations, and OSHA standards in all team activities.
- Maintain adherence to company policies ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency; promptly resolve any operational issues or miscommunications.
- Promote innovation by developing metrics and workflow analyses to improve performance.
- Utilize foundational business finance knowledge to identify key drivers, measure, report metrics, and assist in budget planning.
- Conduct performance evaluations during semi-annual reviews and collaborate with HR to address personnel or performance concerns including coaching and documentation.
- Lead hiring decisions for hourly staff and advise management on appropriate salary levels.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred minimum four years of relevant supply chain experience with at least one year in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated organizational, leadership, and coaching skills with a self-driven and results-oriented mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities, including clear presentation and effective use of body language.
- Skilled in delegating responsibilities to support team development and managing meaningful projects.
- Problem-solving proficiency involving defining issues, decision-making, evaluating outcomes, and implementing solutions using structured approaches.
- Trusted to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with IBM iSeries and Oracle EBS Applications is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related field, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
- Preferred specialized training in automated warehouse packaging and distribution systems.
- First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous.

The compensation package includes a base salary within the range of $82,000 to $131,200 USD annually, eligibility for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits plan covering medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
